These are some of the most promising new television series arriving this October 2025.
Number seven: Monster, the Edge Gene Story.
You’re the one who can’t look away.
It is a biographical crime anthology program created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. The program delves into the real-life account of Ed Gein, a Wisconsin hardware store proprietor and body snatcher whose shocking acts in the 1950s exposed his unhealthy fixation with his late mother, driving him to homicide and the creation of macabre items from human bodies. The narrative reaches its climax with the uncovering of a shopkeeper’s dismembered body in his residence and the subsequent finding of other human remains and relics crafted from skin. Featuring Charlie Hunnam as Gein, it examines his disturbed relationship with his mother, his descent into madness, and the chilling cultural impact of his actions, blending psychological horror with real-life criminal drama. This installment will include eight episodes and is scheduled to debut on Netflix on October 3rd, 2025.
Number six: Nero the Assassin.
It is a historical drama limited series directed by Ludvik Colbo and Alan Modwit. The narrative is set in 16th-century France and follows a merciless killer, Nero, who is double-crossed by his mentor, causing him to flee with his arranged, recently found daughter, Peara, as they confront lethal foes and must walk a line between retribution and salvation, pushing him to decide between his own life or his daughter’s well-being and possibly the destiny of the world. The program tackles ideas of revenge and atonement as Nero starts his voyage with his daughter and he is faced with a hard decision that will affect not just him and his daughter but potentially all of humanity. Nero the Assassin is a period piece with aspects of action, adventure, and thriller and will debut on Netflix on October 8th, 2025.
Number five: The Witcher Season 4.
It is a fantasy drama program created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. The new season starts with major shifts and raised stakes as the land deals with the fallout from the previous season. The story involves Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri making their way through a continent ravaged by conflict, divided by situation and bonded by their chosen family of outcasts as they seek each other and try to endure their perilous travels. The season draws from Andrej Sapkowski’s novel Baptism of Fire and shows Geralt gathering his new company, the Hanza. In the meantime, Ciri is on her own journey of finding herself as Falka, and Yennefer works to restore and safeguard their world after the death of her teacher, Tissaia. The Witcher season 4 will debut on Netflix on October 30th, 2025.
Number four: The Talamasca, The Secret Order.

It is a supernatural spy thriller program created by John Lee Hancock, inspired by the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. The narrative focuses on the Talamasca, a clandestine organization tasked with observing, researching, and controlling witches, vampires, and other supernatural beings. The plot follows Guy Anatol, a recent law school graduate who is recruited into the Talamasca after discovering he has been under their watch since his youth. Pulled into this secret society, he learns of his own special abilities and gets involved in the Talamasca’s intricate internal politics as they confront a serious security violation at their London base. The show aims for a darker, more peculiar atmosphere and mixes supernatural fantasy with aspects of a spy thriller. The program will debut on HBO Max on October 12th, 2025.
Number three: The Last Frontier.
He was hooded, restrained. They called him Havlock. Looks like he knew.

It is a thriller drama program created by John Boken Camp for Apple TV Plus. The show focuses on Frank Remnik, a US marshal in a rough, isolated part of Alaska whose area is thrown into disarray when a prisoner transport aircraft goes down, releasing high-risk convicts into the wild, compelling him to safeguard his community and look into the puzzling crash while battling the severe Alaskan conditions and the escaped prisoners. As Remnik works to maintain his area and find out if the crash was more than just mishap, the story concentrates on survival, tension, hidden plots, and ethical problems in a place of isolation. With a ten-episode arc, a strong cast, and high production aims, The Last Frontier appears to be one of the most interesting thrillers of 2025 and will launch on Apple TV Plus with the initial two episodes on October 10th, 2025.
Number two: Down Cemetery Road.

Okay, so Big Bang.
Inspired by the book of the same name by Mick Herron, this eight-part thriller follows a woman named Sarah Tucker, who, after her neighbor’s home blows up and a young girl vanishes, becomes fixated on locating the child. She recruits the help of private detective Zoe Boehm, and together they reveal an intricate scheme showing that individuals believed deceased are still living while the living are going missing. The series features Ruth Wilson as Sarah Tucker and Emma Thompson as Zoe Boehm and presents an engaging puzzle that balances local unease with conspiracy thriller scale and Herron’s signature mix of grim wit and sharp observation. Down Cemetery Road will debut on Apple TV Plus on October 29th, 2025 with the first two episodes.
Number one: House of David Season 2.
A more deception that some will choose you.

It is a historical drama program created by John Irwin for Amazon Prime Video. The new season starts right after David’s triumph over Goliath, tracing his ascent to leader of the Israelite military following his success, managing royal schemes and a developing relationship with Michal while his increasing renown feeds King Saul’s suspicion and dangerous envy, finally driving David to escape and live as a fugitive. The show examines concepts of fate, devotion, and authority, depicting David’s change from a shepherd to a military commander, and pledges more combat and excitement with large conflicts and scenes of David showing his bravery and ability as a fighter. The program will be available on Prime Video on October 5th, 2025.
